We’ve all made mistakes. Some of them made for good stories.

This was a live storytelling event I co-hosted with journalist David Brooksher. One Sunday afternoon a month we took over The Golden Bull a punk & metal dive in downtown Oakland CA, and invited the audience to tell us stories of their terrible life decisions – and win a drink ticket for their trouble. It’s an afternoon of hung over schadenfreude; free, funny, and just a little bit painful. We were starting to get a bit of a draw, but lost a bunch of momentum when The Golden Bull was sold.
